The Captains Quarters has a strong character and commits to it. There is a nautical steadiness to the room — dark tones, crisp detail and a sense of things being properly stowed.

Contrast is used deliberately rather than everywhere. Darker joinery grounds the space while lighter surfaces keep it open, and the line between them is held cleanly.

Storage is a feature of the plan, not an afterthought. Everything has somewhere to go, which is what allows the room to keep its ordered appearance.

Fittings and hardware are chosen to suit the theme without becoming costume, and the detailing is tight enough to carry the idea convincingly.
