Project story

Lakeside Luxe was shaped early in the design of a new home, allowing the interior decisions to sit comfortably alongside the architecture. The kitchen needed to feel part of a wider composition rather than a separate room: refined in detail, generous for entertaining and calm enough for everyday use.

The resulting plan gives the work of the kitchen a clear structure while allowing material selections and joinery proportions to carry the atmosphere. It is a composed, confident room, designed with the benefit of being considered from the beginning.

Judges’ comment

The minimal material palette in this beautifully moody, cohesive kitchen is elevated through considered use of detailing and texture. The drop-front stone benchtop, mitred stone drawer fronts and fluted timber elements create texture and interest without overwhelming the space. Thoughtful lighting complements the well-balanced layout, backed by excellent documentation.
