Quantum Showroom turns a cleared industrial building in Newmarket into a place where tile and flooring can be experienced in context. The brief moved beyond racks of samples, asking for realistic settings, working displays, meeting space, flexible walls and storage for a continually changing range.
A white shell lets the materials take centre stage, while bathroom vignettes, sample tables and a central front desk make the large volume useful for staff, designers, architects, builders and the public. The showroom can host a handful of visitors or a trade evening of one hundred. It is commercial space designed to make specification feel more tactile and immediate.
