The Verdant Modern gives a growing family a bathroom that can keep pace with the morning rush. The renovation was planned so children can bathe, shower and get ready at the same time, while the separate toilet and basin remain usable. It is a practical brief, carefully worked through rather than simply decorated.
Compact fixtures, thoughtful circulation and individual storage make the room feel more generous than its footprint suggests. The result carries the home’s mid-century character forward, balancing the family’s changing needs with a clear, calm sense of order.
Judges’ comment
This bathroom is a bold transformation, with a thoughtful reconfiguration that completely changes the space while meeting the family's needs beautifully. The layout is highly functional, the material palette feels fresh and cohesive, and the midcentury aesthetic is reflected with confidence. Clever detailing, including the radial vanity, makes this a unique and well-resolved design.
