Project story
Green Envy takes its cue from the bush-clad hills beyond the home, bringing a darker, more atmospheric note to a compact powder room. The WC is set away from the first view on entry, while a floating vanity becomes the room’s deliberate focal point.
A charcoal concrete vessel basin sits on a long porcelain plinth, giving the small space scale and somewhere for a few carefully chosen objects. Concealed storage is tucked into the same composition in stained American white oak. It is a room where privacy, utility and mood have all been given equal attention.
Judges’ comment
Dramatic and beautifully balanced, this powder room creates an immediate first impression despite its compact footprint. The floating vanity, feature lighting and clever material choices bring mood, proportion and interest to the space, while hidden storage is seamlessly integrated. A functional, thoughtful and memorable response to the brief.
