Project story

Jewel Box finds its character in the real behaviour of its materials. A naturally dark powder room becomes an asset rather than a problem, with controlled light grazing hydro-finished stone to reveal its mineral texture, veining and crystalline detail.

A sculptural column basin is centred on the doorway, creating an immediate moment of arrival. Wall-mounted tapware keeps the form clear, while a once-redundant gap by the structural post becomes concealed guest storage within the deep umber wall. It is a small room with a geological presence, where each surface has a job and a reason to be there.
