Beautiful, from the inside
In a beautifully resolved kitchen or bathroom, the most important details are not always the ones you see first. Sometimes they are the ones you touch every day without thinking.
The drawer that opens cleanly, the pantry that glides instead of drags, the hinge that closes with a soft little hush. Not showy, not shouting — just the small, daily proof that the room has been properly thought through.

That breadth of use says something. Designers are not simply choosing hardware; they are choosing reliability, movement and storage intelligence. BLUM products sit behind the finished surfaces, but they have a very direct effect on how a room feels to live with.
Specified products across this year’s entries include LEGRABOX, MERIVOBOX, MOVENTO, REVEGO Duo, TIP-ON, SPACE TOWER, Clip Top BLUMOTION hinges, SERVO-DRIVE, AMBIA-LINE and ORGA-LINE internal systems. These are not decorative decisions, but they are design decisions all the same.
A kitchen may be photographed for its stone, timber, colour and light, but its success often depends on what happens once someone starts using it. Can the drawers carry weight? Does the pantry open generously? Is the bin where it should be? Are the everyday tools organised without becoming a domestic excavation site?
In several award entries, BLUM systems support large-scale storage and integrated cabinetry, allowing kitchens to remain visually calm while carrying the practical load of family life, entertaining and daily use. In others, internal drawer organisation brings discipline to the hidden parts of the room: cutlery, spices, bottles, utensils and cleaning items each given a proper place.
This is where BLUM’s role becomes quietly editorial. It helps designers create rooms that do not have to choose between elegance and usefulness. The cabinetry can be beautiful, but it can also be deeply competent.
Good design is often described through materials and mood, but movement matters too. The opening, closing, lifting and storing are part of the experience of the room. When those actions feel effortless, the whole space feels more considered.
